World Health Day
On occasion of the #WorldHealthDay , I’ve committed to share more about my journey, the challenges, years of research and personal discoveries that have shaped my understanding of true well-being.
In today’s world, the concept of “health” has been distorted by marketing, outdated science, and societal misconceptions. We’ve also normalized things that should never be normal:
- ⚠️ Constant stress and burnout
- ⚠️ Poor sleep and poor nutrition
- ⚠️ Toxic work environments that drain instead of nourishing
- ⚠️ Disconnection from purpose
⚽ In football and high-performance industries, leaders and athletes are suffering from poor well-being, ignoring that #chronicstress weakens the immune system and increases inflammation. Stress is indeed a silent contributor to many diseases.
Athletes and executives live under constant scrutiny, with little room for error and no pause button. Always in the spotlight. Always expected to perform. If left unchecked, stress can silently impact mental and physical health.
..and health is not just the absence of illness. It’s energy. It’s emotional regulation. It’s the ability to connect deeply with yourself and others. It’s feeling safe in your body — not just pushing it harder.
It’s time to shift the narrative around what true well-being really means - because prioritizing our mental and phisical health is the foundation of sustainable and long-term success, on and off-the-pitch 🧠
💡 So from now on, I am going to talk more often about health, longevity, and conscious well-being as the foundation of sustainable high performance, with the hope to give a small and humble contribution in rewriting the narrative around health 🤍✨🩺♾️
